This newsletter is about trying to get some volunteers for the following 2 events in the main hall to be held on the 4th and 11th of September. The Ladies Auxiliary is looking for volunteers to help put on the 2 meals involved with 2 weddings.

The Branch will also be looking for an extra bartender to help serve on those 2 occasions.

Volunteers formed and started the Legion in 1925, and volunteers have carried it forward to this day. We need your support.

There is already an update to our Bar Hours. They are as follows: Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Friday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We now have a contractor to fix the outside cooler roof this fall. Let’s hope they get it done before snow arrives. Name of contractor is Edward McNabb Roofing from Chatsworth. They did the original roof back in 1968 so when they are done it will all look the same as it did before.

I am trying to get a breakfast going at the Branch. Very first one will be put on by the Sauble Beach Firefighters. What day and what time it will be held has to be determined yet, but I would like to see one in late September.

There is now a new money jar at the bar to support the cooler roof project. Any donations will be kindly welcome.

An electrician was hired this month to fix all of the outside lights that were not working. We are looking at renting a water softener form Reliance Electric as our old one does not work any more. We are presently renting two water heaters from them.

Sports starts up in September. Call the Branch for details on Monday mornings.
